Search Operation launched by Security forces at Lassipora in Pulwama and Shopian Village

Government forces on Thursday launched a cordon-and-search operation at SIDCO area of Lassipora near Shah hotel district Pulwama.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 44RR and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation at SIDCO area of Lassipora near Shah hotel district Pulwama.

*Sources said that search operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants.*

“All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said

However, there were no immediate reports of any untoward incident. The search operation was going on till last reports.

*Another CASO underway in Shopain Village*

Armed forces on thrusday afternoon launched a Cordon and search operation (CASO) in Mohanpora village of Shopian district in south Kashmir

*Reports said a joint team of government forces including Army’s 44RR, Special Operation Group(SOG) of local Police and paramilitary CRPF cordoned off all the roads leading to Mohanpora village of Shopian district in south Kashmir*

*Official Sources told that the anti militancy operation launched in the area after receiving specific information of militants in the area*.

*He said door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed*

*Local sources told that a large number of forces vehicles have been rushed towards the area and there was no exchange of gunfire when this report was being filed.
